Who doesn’t love Makita tools? They’re like the Swiss Army knives of the workshop! But hey, let’s talk inflators many of us are using for keeping the optimal pressure on a track. While they’re super handy, they’ve got a little hiccup – the trigger button lacks a lock option which means you’re stuck wasting precious time holding it down until you hit the right pressure.
Some folks resort to plastic fasteners, but my buddies at weareshifted got a trick up their sleeve. They whipped up this nifty 3D-printed gadget that not only locks automatically but installs like a breeze. You simply bolt it on, with an extra pair of longer Torx screws included. And here’s the best part: this mod is completely reversible, allowing users to revert their inflator to its factory option at any time.
While Makita inflators are incredibly handy, they’ve hit a small snag.
And wait, there’s more! Tired of overinflating every time you unscrew the valve using the DMP181 or the MP001G inflator? Well, guess what? You can kiss that problem goodbye too. They’re also throwing in a quick-release valve along with the Trigger Lock. Talk about a time-saver!
At this moment they’re offering upgrades for four models: DMP180, DMP181, MP100D and MP001G. So, check it out!
